I was introduced to physical vascular therapy at Circulation Station in Knoxville/Maryville. I have been using it consistently for two months to enhance my overall well-being and support my athletic performance. I have noticed significant improvements in my energy levels, allowing my nervous system to fire at a high level each training session.
Like any elite athlete, I am always pushing the limits in training and competition, which causes me to toe the line with injury. I recently tweaked my hamstring at a competition where intense heat and fluid loss were contributing factors. This happened at a critical phase in my competitive season and I had to pull out of the competition.
Thankfully, I had this rented medical equipment with me at the competition and was able to immediately use the device. This allowed me to get improved blood flow to the affected area to support my body’s natural healing process. I continued using their technology multiple times a day for the following week. I coupled this with other recovery modalities such as massage, eccentric hamstring exercises, extra sleep, and quality nutrition. This combination helped me return to normal training volume within ten days. This is important because now I have full stamina for the Canadian National Championships and Pan American Games coming up in the next few weeks.
I am so happy I have added the vascular therapy at Circulation Station to my training and rehab regimen. It gives me peace of mind knowing I have access to a device that enhances blood flow throughout my body and supports my body’s natural healing mechanisms! This is so important for athletes who are pushing the limits every day!
Have you ever had the experience while doing an activity or playing a sport, that you are “In The Zone”? Many athletes, video gamers and musicians speak about the feeling of being “locked in” and focused while they play. This mental and physical synergy usually results in achieving optimal performances. Those performances create good memories and will lift the confidence of both those individuals and the teams that they play on.
What if there was a proven way to create more performances that were in the zone? What if that way involved spending only 8 minutes relaxing and focusing, and that it did not involve any drugs? There is a technology that has a twenty year track record of helping athletes around the world who are competing at the highest levels to maximize their performances. Circulation Station located in Alcoa, and later this month in West Knoxville, exclusively uses a patented medical device technology that gives these athletes their edge. Just see what some local athletes have to say about their experiences with this therapy by visiting our Athletes page.

Welcome to the first in a series of posts highlighting local athletes that compete at the highest level of competition and use the BEMER as part of their training.
Olympic pole vaulter Kelsie Ahbe has made Knoxville her home since 2014 when she moved here to train with 2004 Olympic champion Tim Mack. She is a graduate of Indiana University where she was a two time All-American and runner-up at the 2014 NCAA Championship. She competed in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio and is a Nike sponsored athlete.
Since integrating physical vascular therapy at Circulation Station into her training strategy Kelsie has had more energy, greater mental clarity and less complaints from nagging injuries of the past.
“I use the technology as a recovery tool in my training as an Olympic & Professional Pole Vaulter. I have found that using the system consistently keeps nagging injuries in check so that I can train at a high level day in and day out. I have also found that taking regular sessions at Circulation Station supports my overall energy levels. There is only so much energy I have in a day and often I am completely spent after my training sessions; however, this unique therapy has helped me stay energized and mentally focused, even on hard training days. I love that the therapy only takes a matter of minutes. It is something that will remain as part of my recovery and performance strategy as I work towards the 2020 Olympics.”
