Athletes and BEMER: Kelsie Ahbe

Welcome to the first in a series of posts highlighting local athletes that compete at the highest level of competition and use the BEMER as part of their training.

Olympic pole vaulter Kelsie Ahbe has made Knoxville her home since 2014 when she moved here to train with 2004 Olympic champion Tim Mack. She is a graduate of Indiana University where she was a two time All-American and runner-up at the 2014 NCAA Championship.  She competed in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio and is a Nike sponsored athlete.

Since integrating the BEMER as part of her training strategy Kelsie has had more energy, greater mental clarity and less complaints from nagging injuries of the past.

“I use the BEMER as a recovery tool in my training as an Olympic & Professional Pole Vaulter. I have found that using the BEMER consistently keeps nagging injuries in check so that I can train at a high level day in and day out. I have also found the BEMER supports my overall energy levels. There is only so much energy I have in a day and often I am completely spent after my training sessions; however, the BEMER has helped me stay energized and mentally focused, even on hard training days. I love that the BEMER therapy only takes a matter of minutes. It is something that will remain as part of my recovery and performance strategy as I work towards the 2020 Olympics.”
