Chronic Joint and Muscle Discomfort in the Athlete

For the competitive athlete there are often significant daily challenges that must be faced in both training and competition. Some of those are obvious, like sustaining motivation to train and practice their sports. Others are less so, like determining the right diet to follow to meet every nutritional need for sustaining energy and repairing their bodies’ tissues.

One major roadblock that is all to familiar to the elite athlete and weekend warrior alike is muscle and joint discomfort. Whether it is an acute pain or just chronic discomfort, these problems can become a meaningful distraction, or a reason to shut down your athletic activity altogether. The nature of the problem can make even the most determined athlete become frustrated or even despondent because of their limitations.

The BEMER medical technology has proven time and time again that its patented signal has the capability of activating our bodies’ own powers of self-healing. Athletes and training staffs around the world know and appreciate the power of the BEMER to optimize blood flow throughout the body and being instrumental in helping a large number of participants. As a result, the influence of the technology sped recovery by their bodies during and after training and competitions. A great example of this reality is reiterated by local Olympian Kelsie Ahbe. Where effected muscles and joints receive optimal blood profusion due to their exposure to the patented BEMER signal, workouts can become more intense, and athletes can return to their playing fields sooner. If thousands of athletes attest to these facts about the power of the BEMER, why don’t you put BEMER to the test by scheduling an appointment at Circulation Station, where we provide physical vascular therapy exclusively with the BEMER. Athletes and BEMER: Kelsie Ahbe

Welcome to the first in a series of posts highlighting local athletes that compete at the highest level of competition and use the BEMER as part of their training.

Olympic pole vaulter Kelsie Ahbe has made Knoxville her home since 2014 when she moved here to train with 2004 Olympic champion Tim Mack. She is a graduate of Indiana University where she was a two time All-American and runner-up at the 2014 NCAA Championship.  She competed in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio and is a Nike sponsored athlete.

Since integrating the BEMER as part of her training strategy Kelsie has had more energy, greater mental clarity and less complaints from nagging injuries of the past.

“I use the BEMER as a recovery tool in my training as an Olympic & Professional Pole Vaulter. I have found that using the BEMER consistently keeps nagging injuries in check so that I can train at a high level day in and day out. I have also found the BEMER supports my overall energy levels. There is only so much energy I have in a day and often I am completely spent after my training sessions; however, the BEMER has helped me stay energized and mentally focused, even on hard training days. I love that the BEMER therapy only takes a matter of minutes. It is something that will remain as part of my recovery and performance strategy as I work towards the 2020 Olympics.”

Athletes Need More Sleep

The demand that athletic training and competition place on our bodies is extremely high. Most trainers know very well that it is during the recovery phase that muscle and joint tissue repairs and improves itself,The process of hard training and competition breaks us down, and then our miraculous bodies repair themselves and makes itself even stronger than before our exertion began, in order to be prepared for the next major physical effort.

It is during our sleeping hours that an exceptionally large percentage of the recovery process occurs. Having sufficient restful, deep sleep is essential for the competitive athlete to achieve recovery. The BEMER medical device technology dramatically improves our bodies ability to achieve a deep and restful level of sleep! The fact is reinforced by the fact that the BEMER has earned an internationally recognized patent for its built in sleep program.

A great example of BEMERs’ ability to aid athletes in their sleep recovery is provided by local endurance running champion Luke Bollschweiler( AKA Ultra Man). Watch his story below!
